    Well-used and provincial Chinese or central Asian? It's pretty crude, but the painting is done in an Asian style. The heads look like they're skin and that wrought iron link is as crude as it gets.

    I've had one of these drums for about 35 years, made very similarly. One small difference, I think mine may have upholstery tacks to nail down the drum heads. I've never known anything about it.

    I see the link is calling it a Chinese Tom Tom.
