Old Iron Tea Pot

    Hi all,

    Yesterday I went to an old vintage shop in Woudrichem(Netherlands), and I found a nice iron old tea pot.
    But i wonder what the history of this object is? Had some hits on google but those tea pots just looked a little bit different than this tea pot.

    Hopefully someone can tell me what the tea pot is worth and some history details.

    Look up Japanese Tetsubin. They're still being made. I have no idea how to tell old from new.

    Note that true tetsubin are kettles and not meant for brewing tea (it's covered in the article).

    Thanks for the information, still can't find exactly the same tea pot on the internet...
    Just keeps me wondering from which year it comes from haha. There aren't any Japanse people here? ;)
