It is Filigreed Ormolu Jeweled with 11 bigger clear color stones around main part and 8 small stones: 3 on each "foot" and 2 on the "butterfly" sitting on the top. Also there are two "ball" shape feet (3/8" dim) under main part.
    Thank you!

Interesting! Helpful if you post the photos as "Full Image". You can go back and edit to do this. :) Thanks!

A lot of this type of filigree metalware was produced in the 1960s for vanity items. Given the "diamonds" and their settings, I think that could be the era of your piece. There is a convex area in the center here, isn't there? Perhaps something is missing.

Watch holder maybe? For a lady's pocketwatch?

I often find something unusual from Goodwill or Garage sale, something I have not a clue about, then buy it though probably I won't need it, bring it home and do searching and then if sure I don't need it, give it back to Goodwill for donation. I just like to learn something new.:cat:

Thank you for information! Yes, there is some spot kind of "spoon bowl". But this "spoon bowl" also finished / decorated like rest of item. I was thinking it is some holder, but holder which is using only sometimes. I meant: first I was thinking may be it is for perfume bottle holding, but I was thinking why the "spoon bowl" so good done, if it will be hiding under bottle. But @evelyb30 wrote that maybe it is for lady's pocketwatch - and it is so interesting idea, because some time my "holder" hold the watches, but rest of time it work like decor. I am starting new searching.

Thank you! Interesting idea! I will do searching. I just replied to another member with some information and I have added your "name", I am just wondering if it is working and you will be able also to get my response. I am not sure how it is working here.

Pocket watch is an interesting idea but... They're usually hung and I think your item is well into the era of wrist watches.

This is just nitpicking because I don't have anything really useful to contribute: 'ormolu' is not synonymous with gold-plated or gold tone. It is a particular method of depositing gold on bronze, dangerous & not used in a very long time now.

Agree it appears meant to hold something. The overall look of a spoon on a rest made me think of tea accessories, but it seems completely ill-suited to that.

There are too many tiny stones to be using "next to the food" :nailbiting::D

I also was thinking it could be for perfume bottle, but "spoon bowl" of holder is too flat to hold glass bottle. Bottle will slide down.
But today morning I have a new guess!!!!! I was thinking: yes it is possible holder for something, but the "spoon bowl" part is not enough deep to hold something in current position. Then I looked at the butterfly and was thinking: probably this butterfly is attached there special to hook something, the thing should be resting / holding in the "spoon bowl" part. But WHAT? :bigtears:

Debora, you are right about small round perfume bottle. But I found what kind of bottles : my holder is for Antique French or Victorian Ormolu Chatelaine Perfume bottles. Kind of like these.

Too funny! I was thinking of butterfly and decided the motif could very likely have been repeated below.
