I found some photos of these ancient Kathmandu well spouts online and thought they were worth sharing.
PS -'Disclaimer': I currently don't own any either of the ancient stone artifacts displayed .These pics are posted for educational use only.

When I saw your post title, I was kind of expecting to see a well with water shooting up out of it like a geyser. But the spouts are cool looking.

They are beautiful. Not exactly ancient, but certainly centuries old.
The spouts represent Makaras, Hindu-Buddhist protective mythical animals.

There doesn't seem to be much local interest in them. Kathmandu is full of monuments and carvings, and craftspeople would rather make your average souvenirs.
But you could commission them from Javanese or Balinese stone carvers, they are much more flexible when it comes to special orders. This is a familiar style for them, Javanese Hindu-Buddhist art is closely related to Indian/Nepali art, and they know Makaras.

I think the 'other Bob' -Dylan,is 82 and might never stop the endless tour, til the cosmos says it's time.

Umm, I thought the "Bob" mentioned WAS Dylan! And I do think he still tours.
What other old Bob are y'all talking about? :singing:
