    What an interesting piece. Knee jerk is home made ,circa 1960s when Mediterranean was all the rage. If nothing else its visually interesting. But wait for others to chime in.

    I'd think decorative 1960s too. Import from Spain or México. But could very well be wrong.

    The metal sculptures were a Thing for a while. There were goofy ones made of screws, nails and washers, and then prettier pieces like this. The brass music boxes made in decorative designs came along a bit later.

    I worked in a gift shop in the late 80s and we sold all kinds of things made like that. Windmills, ships, etc.
