Old miners light

    Not really sure if this goes under tools or not but....

    No maker found but near as I can tell from my research this miners light would have been made around 1870 give or take.

    This one is "newer" would have been made about 1900.

    Both show that they were well used with lots of patina and a few dings and dents.

    While I realize that when in a mine even a match seems to be a lot of light, I can't imagine trying to work by this as your light. Let alone working by open flame in a mine.
