Old or modern cloisonné?

Hello all, I bought this as a lamp and thought it was too small! Is their a way of telling the age? And if anyone wants to give me a guide price I’d appreciate it

 

Age is .... not a lot. With that monster hole, I'd have left it as a lamp.

 

Yes, the hole makes it worthless as a vase. That's not pottery, glass, or porcelain, by the way.

 

Would you like to suggest what category it should go in then?

 

I agree unfortunately with the hole it will be a very tough sell if that's what your intent is.

 

isn't cloisonné enamel melted glass?

 

It's glass bits melted into wire channels, so yep. Some enamels are epoxy or similar, but the real stuff is glass.
