    Hello,

i would like to id and date this old plate white and blue with golden decorations

    diameter is cm 23,3

On the back, in the middle, I think I see a logo, an image, it would look like a profile of a person, facing right, but it is very confusing, I could not say more.

I took pictures with flash and without flash, for a better attribution of hue and colors

thank you all for the answers

    Gianluca

Gianluca, could you take a photo of the mark in daylight? Maybe it brings it out more.
Like in your other thread, not everyone you tagged knows much about antique European ceramics, but those that do, will be along. You posted this one in the right forum too.:)

    Hello @Any Jewelry !
thanks for your reply, you're so right, i took photos with daylight and now it seems to see 2 letters, W and A ... and a profile, but maybe it's only my imagination, it's really little and bleard .
I hope that it could be possible to id and date it .
    Thanks for your support

    Gianluca

To me it looks like a bit of glaze that got sanded.

It does not look like an intentional mark, but seems to be just an artifact of the production process - a contact point during the glazing or firing process.
I cannot be any help in identifying the decoration or origin, though the brush work does look Asian.

thanks, by your point of view is it possible to date it ? Circa, the century xix or xx and the nation, Japan, China, etc. ?

Are there tones of gray color, or is that the lighting ?

Yes, there are, it's not the lighting :)

Of course this is not very close to yours, but I the closest I am seeing is when I call it botanical, not floral.

I was thinking that I have also other plates like this and also a big tray related...
    If I take some photos,
Do you think that those can help more ?

    Hello ! :)

    I have an interesting update.
As I told you, I have other plates like this, and also a matching tray.
Taking pictures, I found that on the back of the tray (see the pictures please) there are letters and numbers, an acronym, clearly read "CFH", then the number 12, and also a letter "a" cursive.
Pottery also has some rust, if I had to make a comparison with my numismatic knowledge, based on oxidation, I could place the plate and the tray at the end of the nineteenth century, but obviously I rely on your esteemed opinions to identify and date these elements.

    Thanks

    Tray is cm 33,3 x cm 23,3

I found this as a back stamp on photo 1, but underlined.
Photo 2 does not mention an underline.
Would this been a blank plate purchased and decorated by a private individual? Thank you in advance.

    C-2 is ink printed
I was thinking C-1 which is impressed, I’m confused about the underline.
