Old sterling buckle

    Probably for a small belt of some sort. Out of a jewelry box of my grandmothers. Black with tarnish. Looked at the usual online sterling sites but didn't see this mark. A Has a sterling mark but too small to photograph. Also a number 79 with an a underneath. I know I've seen the makers mark before. Maybe on something else I own, not sure. Any ideas on that and age? Comments welcome.

    Looks like a WMF mark.

    Looks more like the mark of William Wilson & Son of Philadelphia.
