Could someone help identify these? The base was bronze but not signed, they are about 6" to 8" tall to the top of the crystal total. Thanks in advance... IMG_7652.JPG IMG_7653.JPG

    Welcome, Adventurist.
They are cornucopia vases, usually used for a floral table display, or on a mantlepiece.

Interesting, I was thinking because of the handle shape they might be for drinking but all the rhyton pics I am seeing are more of a one piece design.

I have spent a lot of time looking for another set like them and haven't had any luck that's primarily why I ended up here, that being said, what price do you think is fair? The seller is asking $1000 for them.

They are wonderful! Might be worth the money if you are sure you can get them clean. What is the gunk inside? $1000.00 is a lot of money but where are you going to find another pair?

Asking aint getting ! Thats absurd . MAYBE if they were silver ,but not really even then.

Of course, the handled ones are inspired of the ancient shape.
Your vases are cornucopias, as Any Jewelry said, and the base is rhyton inspired:)

That's what I was thinking, I haven't been able to find anything close, there is one small chip out of the lip of one of them and I was wondering the same thing about the gunk, lol.

I can’t imagine asking $1k for something without cleaning it and displaying it nicely. Then again, I’m not a professional seller so what do I know? : -)
