So, interested in seeing if someone knows anything about this ring. I assumed when I purchased it, that it was pre 1940's. I am assuming the stone is carved jade, but that is not really my question. I am just trying to get some help in dating this bit.

Chinese export silver for sure, and pre-1948 from the markings. I think the "stone" is actually molded glass.

Or a ring that broke made back into a ring.

@evelyb30 definitely a poor repair. I think for it to have been a brooch the markings would have had to been located elsewhere as the pin would have to set across where the marking are. I may take it down to wilmington and have my silver craftsman go in and do a proper repair on it. I don't think it would set me back more than 30 dollars and I think there should be enough money in the piece to justify the expense.
