Older? Brass Whatchamacallit

    Hello everyone and happy weekend!!

    I am hoping someone can help identify this item. I think it is older but don't think it is an antique. I think it is quite heavy for its size of approx 8" tall. The top does not screw on Thank you for any help you can provide

    Not sure how old this is. The made in India label makes me think item for tourist trade.

    it is completely useless because of the missing threads.
    most probably an original one was shown in one their kitschy Bollywood films that are often filmed in Swiss locations.
