    I'm going to be having a yard sale this coming Saturday, I need to know what this piece is called about age etc. Not sure how much to ask.

    Hi,
    I think someone turned this piece into a stereo cabinet and added the bracing. See the holes in the back for the wiring?

    Really depends on where you are. Doubt you would get any looks beyond $30.00 in my neck of the woods and might still have it at the end of the day. Condition is an issue. Does it really need that brace?

    Agree circa 1930 and use might depend on size. Think it is maybe a dining room piece if 30-36" tall. Otherwise, a bedroom armoire. .
