Picked up a bunch of odd size negatives. Fair amount of military. Some have the bombers with the women painted on them. Will have to google all this. Sorry for the bad pics.

spirit of 44 (2).jpg I have a keen interest in pictures of the B17 Bomber "Spirit of 44". It went through at least two changes in nose art.

Love the Dr. Strangelove vibe of this last one. The first ones could get someone Weinsteined.

Use a flat bed scanner to obtain better pictures.

I`ve reversed the images for you.

"Spirit of 44" also featured a woman at one time. I have the hardest time figuring out how to browse my images to post. Can't remember how I did that one 5 minutes ago. Going to consume more coffee now....:sorry:

Thanks everyone. My flatbed scanner crapped the bed. I do have a thing for slides, will see if that works.

Those are sweet! The planes didn't survive the war and of course the ones that did were mostly scrapped. Someone will be very happy to find images of the nose art if you can find out which planes were which...or even if you can't.

I think she looks like some of my dad's family. We never did run to small women, and you did NOT want to get in the way when one of 'em went on the warpath.
