    Hi and good evening everyone,

I have a good find to show from this week. I managed to find this nice heavy Sterling Porringer Bowl at a store I visit almost daily. It had obvious marks, in an obvious location, but I visit frequently so it probably just got on the shelf earlier in the day and no one had flipped it over. Price was $3.

I've also decided to make a fresh start on my collecting. I love the collection that I've built, but I also need to clean up, reset, and start again sometimes in my life. Tomorrow I'm taking my entire collection to an auction house to give it a new home. I'm quite certain to start my collection and build it up again, but it's a good time for me to cash out and start again. I have no clue what I'll get at auction, but I am 100% certain it will be far more than I paid, although not necessarily reflective of the effort it took to find it all.

Good luck. I've let bits go at auction and people who bought did get bargains but then I pay very little for my items (as you often do) and the buyers can make something on it themselves. I did miss some items though and wish I still had them.

I’m sure I’ll miss parts of the collection, but I took photos of everything so I can always look back on what I collected. Plus my collection restarted today with at least two items ;)

Cash out and go again! As long as you're not in love with a piece, might as well take the money and run and get some stuff you actually do love. The buyers are going to be happy campers.

Oh I’ll definitely still be collecting silver. Late tonight I have some new things to clean and take photos for all of you, it was a pretty good hunting day and I’m happy to say my house was only empty of silver for about 10 hours ;)
