Featured Oriental man of mystery

    I've had this little man for maybe 30 years but know nothing about him -- not even what he's made of (bone? horn?) or what his age might be. He is quite heavy for a little fellow. Any suggestions? Any :) ? P1090326.jpg P1090322.jpg P1090325.jpg P1090327.jpg

    Looks like ivory to me(could be wrong) - can you post a picture of the bottom?

    He is adorable! I love his expression. Ivory is such a sticky wicket these days. :(

    I love him. Chinese, ivory. Maybe only just pre-CITES (1947)?

    He looks like very nice company, have you offered him a cup of tea?
    Not so sure about the book on the Boer War as a background though.:oops:
