Oriental Metal Plate

    This is my first post here. I've owned this for many years and would appreciate any thoughts as to origin, age and there must be a story here that I know nothing about. 9 1/2" and weighs 1.5 lbs. It must have been very colorful at one time. No markings of any kind.     Looks like something based on the Monkey King/Journey to the West story.

    I've had a few Japanese bronze pieces of the years, so it was an easy ebay search. Plus watching Antiques Roadshow helps!
