origin of carved wood figures

    probably an easy one for someone, but i cant find anything like them

    i think probably just tourist pieces made to look older.

    both measure 11 1/2 inches

    but would like to know where they are from

    She doesn't look very happy, does she.
    My guess is somewhere in northern India. And yes, made to look older, which may be why she is not very happy.;)

    I was going to say Pakistani from the man's clothing and headware, but I think northern India works just as well!
