Hi, everyone. I'm thinking about buying this Ormo watch, but in trying to research the "S&E Silver" mark on the band, I've come up with nothing. Anyone familiar with it?

The seller says that its sterling but they don't show any other marks in photos. IMG_0091.jpg IMG_0083.jpg IMG_0084.jpg IMG_0087.jpg IMG_0090.jpg

Thanks to both of you, ladies!

It seems like there should be a purity stamp or something like that next to the "S&E" - or is the "SILVER" stamp supposed to be good enough for that time period? I'm guessing it's from the 30s-40s?

ORMO was a brand by Raisch & Wössner in Pforzheim Germany that produced jewelry. so it might well be that it's a fantasy name for the English market. in 1922 they started an own watch production with the help of Swiss Made ébauches for a few years.
for more precise time frame you'd have to open it and have a look what work is in it.

as the value is minimal, drop the tinkering, not worth anyone's time.
