Picked this up and quite like the detail.

It measures 7 and half inches high.

Google images show up some similar images also with Leone Leoni being mentioned and also Christies auction house show up a similar looking bronxe candlestick.

I dont know when my candlestick might date from.

Wondering anyone have any knowledge they can share on this.

    Thank you as always. 20250612_181946_resize_65.jpg 20250612_181830_resize_26.jpg 20250612_181750_resize_90.jpg 20250612_181647_resize_94.jpg 20250612_181658_resize_46.jpg 20250612_181627_resize_42.jpg 20250612_181614_resize_87.jpg 20250612_181556_resize_39.jpg

It works in a roundabout way if people copy and paste your link.

"Antique Pair French Patinated Bronze Poseidon Neptune ,God of the Sea Candle Holders.
Good condition, No damages or repair, good patina, No chips on bases.
    Made in France circa 1870 - 1890.
    US $695.00 or Best Offer"

So the asking price is for the pair, including the marble bases.

‘As stated by OP’ster back in 2011, one could have asked a tad bit more without the base. ;)

I would tend to go with the Christie's attribution. The holes in the feet of yours makes me think you may be missing a base. Base or not, these strike me as more Italian than French.
