I don't know anything about it, but I think it's lovely!

I had it in mind to check the library about that book because I’ve already scoured the internet for all I could find about her. She has a really sad back story. Thank you for the replies.

Hi Patrick, nice to see you here. Thought this was a great piece when I first saw it, and believe you're on the right track with Ann Orr. The book should be available through an interlibrary loan if it's not at one near you (also a couple on Amazon for under $15.)

Have done one in several years, but my library sets them up in just a few minutes, time varied for their arrival, believe return time was three weeks...

For me it's going to be a while before I'm able to borrow the book, but the first time I'm in a large city I while do my best to get to a central library and at least have a look at it. In the meantime, I have been in touch with the University that she was closely associated with. My inquiry about the buckle has been forwarded to the Metal Arts & Jewelry department, so I'm hoping to hear something from them in time. I've also been given a telephone number to try there, but I'll wait a while to us it.

The information in this post is from:
    Mary Hallam Pearse
    Professor Jewelry and Metalwork
Associate Director Technology, Space and Communications
    Lamar Dodd School of Art

"After consulting with a decorative arts curator and writer it was determined that it isn't Ann Orr's mark. I'm attaching her mark. If you go on Ebay you will find a few pieces with the identical ORR mark on the belt buckle. It isn't clear to us what that mark is."
