Bought this lamp a few years ago.
Can't find any maker's name on it, and can't find anything like it with Google Lens.
Rippled amber glass, and it has a earth wire screw.
Your thoughts, please, on age and where it was made :)

(and the tub it's in, is vintage ... like its owner. That was my bath tub as a baby )

If you have not used it and not changed the bulb, check the bulb, screw in or bayonet and usually the makers details are on the glass.

I've never used it, but the bulb is this definitely not old, as it's something like this
    upload_2024-11-20_1-32-20.png
and like this one, a screw in.

Didn't check that yet. Will check it tomorrow. Now it's to dark to see (If only I had a light ...)

Actually, I don't know why I wrote that, as I don't know if that's true... I don't think I've ever opened it :bag: and I don't think it's visible from the outside due to the shapes in the glass. So, another thing to check tomorrow :)

    Note to self:
Don't post threads in the middle of the night/when you're sleepy ...

The lamp doesn't have a bulb
The box it was in, had another outdoor light (vintage style, but not old) and that's the one with that modern bulb. :bag:
I still think it's a screw in, but I will have to unscrew the top to see it clearly and also to take out the glass.
To be continued ..... later today :)

While you're at it, check the back of the wall mount too.
It is visible on the photo, no bulb.;)

I know ... :(:bag: Brain not functioning well at that time of day...

Didn't have time yet to perform surgery on the lamp, but in the meantime here are 3 additional pics, with
, a close-up of the glass and one of the screws that's securing the cap.

Ha! Now that I was about to post this, I noticed in the pic that there are letters on the back of the wall mount. Hadn't seen them with the naked eye.
It says 'MADE IN ITALY' :)

Great, that's a start. I did think Italy, with that glass.
Mind you, if you got it in the Netherlands, most of our hallway and outdoor lighting used to be imported from Italy.;)

Taking the cap off is harder than expected... First screw came out with little effort,
    image0.jpeg image1.jpeg
but the 2nd screw doesn't want to cooperate ... :shifty: Not getting any movement in that screw. :(
So now I only managed to see that the glass seems to be shaped a bit like this:

A little penetrating oil, and a socket or nut driver (instead of a flat head screwdriver) will take that out

This afternoon, when I went into the garage to get the screwdriver, I had the vague idea that a few days ago I wanted to look for something there, but today I couldn't remember what it was. Well, thank you for the reminder, as I wanted to look for
And now I was about to ask you to remind me why I wanted to look for it, but a drawer of the rusty memory file cabinet opened just now, and I remember it again. I guess my brain is also in need of a bit of oil.

I don't think I have one in the right size, but as I can't trust my memory  I will look for it tomorrow :)

There isn't much room to grab the screw due to the cap. Maybe just enough for needle-nose pliers, so I will try that as well.

In the meantime, I did find his brother with Google Lens

But this lamp is no longer on the page the link redirects to, so no additional info there :(

Just refurbish it - a beautiful wall light by a porch.
