Kind of sloppy painted but it was just a dollar. Any symbolic meaning?

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

I feel like it's a puzzle... what do you call those puzzles that use objects to say names or such? Like this could be "red cross... something"?

    Rebus... good to know.
Well, if it isn't, it's a weird little commentary on basketball or playgrounds or something, maybe.

I have a hard time pricing them, as I have a hard time letting them go... hummingbirds or butterflies, I have no idea.

This one will never go - I love it too much.

As Gila said, it has a hypnotic quality - it does something to my brain, if that makes any sense.

Is that textile behind glass? Any backstory? Kinda hypnotic. Nice.

    haha
I came across it at the UCLA thriftstore in West LA - I don't know anything about the artist, except this was the best of several along with another Spencer, I think maybe a sister?

They had a lot of them, they told me someone had bought a series of 10 or something - it killed me that I never got to see them. :(

I'll start another thread on interest in outsider - don't want to hijack kard's thread - too late, sorry.

I think it's India ink on craft paper, signed on top of glass. The Phooey and Turk cards are other riff-raff ephemera I picked up.

It's funny. I saw today another 'encoded' piece. Looks like something a child would draw but it is done with no hesitation.
By the way, posted in the antique board by mistake.

I was thinking Rorschach ink blots after too much Robitussin.
