Overpainted African Ashanti Wood Stool

    How can someone like better the blue paint instead of the natural wood color. It may take a bit to strip it off. Have to research if there is any symbolism in the carving.

    Looks like someone did not prepare the surface well before painting. These are usually oiled and/or waxed pretty heavily to begin with so it may not be too hard to strip. I would recommend a heat gun rather than stripper. You are less likely to get paint in the grain.
