I found this at a thrift store today for $3.50! I researched the artist and it looks like p chan's signature and does appear to be on silk. What do you guys think?

A lovely traditional subject, those are always attractive. Some of the painting looks to be hidden behind the mat.
There are many P. Chan paintings on ebay. On Etsy too it seems, but their pages are currently unavailable due to updates.
So he seems to have been a prolific painter, or the name was used by several painters. Not unusual for factory paintings.
One listing says P stands for Paul Chan, several say batik painting, in which case he (they?) would have painted on a fabric that was pre-batiked.

That looks lovely....but I have no expertise on the subject! And it looks like that bluebird (?) is about to have dinner!!!! I love how the mat picks up the color in the flowers!!!:)
