Can anyone help me with this? It appears to be a page from a book written in German. There is a woodcut print image of Mephistopheles and references to Faust in the text. On the bottom there writing in pencil that reads 83-71-13.

Is it old? What is its value? What should I do with it?

Thanks for your help! IMG_2623.jpeg IMG_2625.jpeg

The book presumably was Goethe's Faust. I can see this being of interest to a dealer in prints. Not sure what else can be done with it. How did you come to have the lone page?

Try Goethe's Walpurgisnacht illustrated with Ernst Barlach's woodcuts and published in 1923.

It was among a collection of prints that I inherited from my mother. I’m not sure where she got it.

The pencil notation would likely be a dealer's.

Boy, you have better eyes than I! Does appear to be upside down. 83-71-D?
