painted table American?

    kind of a provincial French form but paint and wood look American.
    haven't seen in person though. wondering if y'all have seen similar?[​IMG]

    The Trumpet turned legs and X stretcher suggest William & Mary rather than french provincial but, as Brad notes above, don't think American and not period either.
    Guesses European, late 19th-early 20th container type piece.
