Painting with damage

    I thought this painting had too much depth, too much technique, to just leave it at the store. Also looks to have some age, though the canvas says, not too much age.

    I'm guessing it's California. (I'm in Oregon, which by west coast of US standards, isn't too far away.)

    But damage, yes. I know that's likely fixable but won't be cheap. Maybe it's a famous artist? Unsigned. 16" x 20"

    I'd love your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

    sorry , not my cup of tea..... & that's too much damage .....:blackeye:

    i likes it, and whatever it is.........a bargain at that price (woulda come right home with me as well)

    wondering if you could add the whole thing to a second frame to minimalize all the edge damage/wear

    all that depth is of course intentional it seems and that particular style

    sig on the back LS ?

    i like that way the sky/clouds looks like its building around the barn, and leaving that area more illuminated out of the clouds, don't know if thats intentional or not
