Painting With Fortress

    Not finding signature. Don't know if a fantasy or real place.
    Any idea?

    It looks a bit like Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland.

    I agree, it also looks like Lindisfarne Castle and many of the other castles in Northumbria.
    The painting has a lack of arrow slits and battlements to compare with a real place.

    Took it out of the frame to check for siggy but none. I thought it was done on canvas board but looks like paper laid over wooden board. It is possible that it was trimmed.
