Would anyone know how old these shoes are? The soles are wooden and I think this inside is wood as well. Leather on the outside with a stamped flower design.

Not very old if the rubber soles are original, as they appear to be. What do they read?

Child's cross country ski boots? Look like something attached to the bottoms.

    Possibly Lancashire clogs?
Traditional dancing clogs are still being made today.

Clog dancing is supposed to make noise, the forerunner of tap dancing. The rubber soles are too 'grippy' for dance footwear.

Design registration was in 1932, regardless of when made.

Probably original clogs that were repaired at the cobblers or at home with the rubber sole.

My mum told me my grandfather heeled and soled all the family shoes and boots with used car tyres,
    before, during and after WWII.

They show no wear under rubber soles so expect original.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I notice they say "The sole and heel units are stained grass green at the sides, and are reinforced with nailed 'irons' of black textured composition, resembling those found on clogs." -- Is the part that I bolded referring to the rubber part? If so, why didn't they use the word "rubber" in their description, which is carefully written? What other material could it be?
