Pair of Chinese pewter (?) pots, help on chop mark please.

    Got these today, suspect pewter or similar - doubt they're silver, the smell is all wrong. ;)

    There's chop marks inside the lids. Anyone able to translate please?

    Just to be clear, this is marked in Chinese 吉興, a well-known pewter maker known in English as Kut Hing, but it's not marked Swatow. The other characters in the mark are 點銅, meaning pewter.
