Pair of copper or brass wall pockets wondering about era and if hand made

Hi, I came acros this pair of wall pockets. I'm leading toward copper, but maybe brass? I have no idea of what era they would be from or even if they are recent reproductions. The larger is 11 3/4" and the smaller 8 3/4". They appear to have been hand made and I am wondering about the design on them. They look like trees to me, but there is something familiar about them that I can't put my finger on. Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions.
