Found this Pair of Clay Flowers Jars in Ireland signed and very interesting colors..? Are they Irish

    Found and bought this pair of handle vases..Love the color and design Art Deco..??...But not sure about the date and Provenance..?? Signature under..But can't read it..?? Anybody can help..??
    Size 29cm up 8.5cm up opening 8.5 cm bases

    Not Art Deco, a more traditional folk design.

    Well I see a deco influence ? rub a little cinnamon in that signature and see if thatll highlight it . They are nice .

    What do you mean by cinnamon...?? Mixed with water to easy clear the signature..??

    Pretty vases.

    I'll answer for Johnny as he might not see your question for a while yet....

    Cinnamon powder. Not mixed with anything. Just sprinkle the powder on the base and shake off excess so that just the signature marks are highlighted.

    That has brought out the lettering for sure, but I haven't a clue.

    I think it’s Irish? I keep debating which way is up, but I *think* the artist has a first initial ‘M’ and last name O’——-he (Irish sounding)
    Not sure what’s going on with the third line

    Have as well checked here in Ireland...Most of the people are saying it is not Irish artistic design..and signature is not english or Gaelic...??? So still wondering...
