Hello again - any idea where these kitties came from? There's the residue of a possible sticker or label left on the bottom of one - but who knows if it's original to the piece. They're 7" tall and more well made than most of the cheaper chinese/japanese decorative stuff I usually see.

I thought they were German at first glance, and still do. I have a similar cat here with German markings on the bottom. Her Fuzziness says "whatever" and has curled up and gone back to sleep.

    Very purretty kittens. :)
I have two similar gold painted ones(of lesser quality I think, less muscle details, made in India, sticker says Vara International)

The ones I can turn up that are most similar are Japanese, Otagiri & OMC, but yours are not quite the same, although more like the Otagiri ones than the OMC. Like yours better.

Thanks everyone...i think it's probably gonna prove hard to pin down these pets down precisely. Maybe German...maybe Japanese...and komo makes a good point on the holes.

That one is very close - just slightly off in the face and features - and 2 inches taller - but the similarities are very strong - mine probably are Ardalt as well. Thanks CC!

Thanks for that. Not really my field, although there is a cat sleeping in front of me using the box with my new cameo in it for a pillow. The ones I saw described as Otagiri were more elegant & less cutesy than the ones marked OMC, so thought OMCs might be knockoffs. Always love learning new stuff.

That's gotta be it. Same cat; sticker says Ardalt & one of Aaron's pair has the remnants of a sticker.
