Two pots from yesterday. Impressed marks to their bases, the top one looking a bit like a bell. Number 4133 on both. White clay, glazed base, nice drip glaze finish on pottery. They're not speaking English to me, but hey.

    Thoughts please?

That little impressed mark reminds me of Marzi & Remy.

Nail right on the head, sis. Having compared marks, it's Marzi and Remy. I'm very much obliged.

Cool! I don't know my German pottery very well but I'd never have guessed that just from the form.

Nor me, I associate them with steins and salt glaze! But having looked, they did do some mid century type stuff and some bright pots.

Don't ask me where this little tidbit came from, but: those colors are predominant in German cartoons and colored book illustrations from back in the day. Recognized That right away -- and I know nada about that kind of critter!

another test method: put it on the nightstand near your head and if you wake up enlightened then you know.
