Featured Panelled cabinet?

any thoughts on the origins of this cabinet?

Where in the world is it? It's quite English looking.

 

I don't know where you are, but in my area we have a lot of Queen Anne Victorian cottages. When people remodel they take out the built in cabinets and sell them.

I'm thinking that the depth is very narrow - looks like 8-10 inches. Which would be just about right for a built in kitchen cupboard.

Maybe earlier than the late 1800s. Maybe more mid 1800s.
Just my opinion.

I think James said he might drive up to look at that cabinet he posted about. So may take him a while to see this.

 

Hmmmm, NOT A CLUE on origin but don't think american. Guesses late 19th century.

Yep, did, was gone all day, nice to get out of Charlotte if only for a few hours. The auction owner remembered me & that early tea table from 2 years ago.

 

I like the pegged door construction. Unsure on wood type - it might be Northern yellow birch with that grain.

 

Looks more like ash or, possibly, chestnut to me. Mid to late 19th century. European in origin seems likely.

 

Ash or elm. Possibly kitchen, or more likely, pantry but it might equally have been in a lower middle class or farm living room. I do think it's a Brit.
