Peace dollar error? Help

Good day all. I believe this forum spun off of cointalk so hoping a few dual members are lurking. My neighbor just gave me a bag of old coins and while going thru them I found this Peace Dollar that I believe is a rather large die crack, starting at about mouth height near left edge, down to neck, looks to ride along the bottom of neck then cuts up above the “T” in TRVST, disappearing and re-emerging from the “Y THRU “R” in LIBERTY.

Clueless on coins but can someone let me know if this is worth more then the rest? Aside from a 1878 CC Morgan the others seem to be normal fair value.

It’s a nice die crack on a common date coin. If you post over on cointalk.com, you’ll probably get more info.

 

Looked up an old coin talk thread about this issue. It seems that Peace Dollar dies had a habit of cracking in this area due to a inherent stress in this area. Long story short your Dollar is worth about $25 to $35.
Remember all silver coins (except nickels) 1964 and earlier are 90% silver and worth more then face value.

 

Those die cracks are considered a "Retained Die Break". Your Peace dollar is classified as a "VAM 2Y". I don't know offhand what the VAM 2Y varieties sell for but I guess you can look that up easily.

I DON'T know coins that well, but just looking at how 'uneven' "GoD" looked, I thought it might have been a counterfeit...........

UPDATE: amazing what you can come up with when you have the correct terminology. this is EXACTLY like my coin, and yes, I know an asking price doesn't reflect a selling price(not for sale in any case). Thank you again.
