Featured Peacock butterfly Vase info please!

I purchased this today and would like to know more about it, including maker, country of origin, and of course age.. also do you like it? I found it seems well made and is to me, beautiful. It is dirty inside so there appears orange spots when viewed from the front. Disregard the dirt: at the base has some residue from presumably an old sticker/tape. I will clean it later . There's one on eBay that is finished differently, but it looks to me like a very a similar vase. Yours is on the left; the eBay vase is on the right:

My guess and that is all it is.

Either Italy or Japan.
Italy 1970s - 80s.
If Japan, later 1980s - 90s.

I don't think it is new Chinese.

 

I will try and take a higher quality photo of the peacock. It is absolutely fine.

 

Advice for cleaning a Vase without having to scrub the inside? I tried a little bleach+ water and even stuffed it with paper towels. Anyone got an ol trick?

 

Empoli made. Typical shape, twisted stem and decoration.

Go buy cheap denture cleaning tablets. A couple of them in hot water in the vase will do it nicely.
