I picked this up today at a thrift store. I couldn't pass it up for $1. The glaze is amazing. The best I can describe the glaze is mottled matte greens with glossy mottled blue/green spots. It base has a pineapple on each side. It stands 4" tall and 6" in diameter. The foot rim and material reminds me of one of the many Japanese import companies. But, It have also seen California potteries with this type of foot rim and material too. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joe

The glaze looks a lot like Monterey Jade.

    I really like it!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Pretty! Looks like it had a lid at one time... I wonder whether it was pottery, or glass?

The lid may have looked something like this:

That definitely deserves house room. Love the blues. Do you think it had a use, or was it just for pretty?

There's a shallow bowl under the lid, so I assume it's for candy or fruit.

Like the OP's, mine is not marked. This glaze is usually associated with Monterey Pottery, but a lot of their pieces seem to be marked.
