Featured Peacock silver box, what when where

    Hiya all,

    Picked this up. Wasn't expensive so took a chance it was silver. Tests silver using acid.     What is it?
    Searches I have done say India but it has more if a Persian design to me.
    Several different identification from spice box to opium pipe holder, what's your opinion?
    Any info helpful.

    Can/should that be polished?? I imagine if silver, it would look Smashing!!!!!!!
