Picked up this very detailed vase which looks like silver but has no marks tried a simple magnet test doesnt stick to it .Dont see any sign of silver plate and looks like uncleaned silver.Anyone help with identifying this vase it stands just under 11 inches. @Brubaker50 , is that white on the vase enamel? Kashmir is famous for its enamelled wares as well.

Nicer quality than you usually see. If had a stopper, could keep a genie in there ;)

If it is polish residue, some soapy water will get rid of that.

It might be worth finishing the job the cleaner started if you have some paste silver polish around. It might not just look like silver; some of them are nickel-plated brass but every once in a while a piece comes up trumps.

If you want to sell it, be sure to include colonial silver in the description. There are collectors of Asian colonial silver (like yours truly) and it helps.
I would love to buy it, but it is way above budget.:(

The buyers for the Colonial pieces are in the Commonwealth, so if you're elsewhere make sure to open it up to British/Irish/Scottish etc bidders. Aussies too.
