This is a Persian silver tray that I purchased from the thrift store. It measures about 12 1/2" wide. I think it's 20th century and the mark on the right is the Persian numeral for 84 or 875/1000 silver. There are some other marks on the bottom outer rim that I have not been able to translate or find.

Does anyone know what the other marks say or mean? I'm hoping someone can identify who made it, where it was made and what time period it may have been made or anything else. Thanks in advance!

    Absolutely gorgeous, Thrifster.
The other marks would be a maker's mark and probably a workshop mark.
The use of 84 is confusing, because for a while Iran used Russian marks which were taken from Russian zolotnik marks to denote .840 fineneness. 84 zolotniki is .875 millesimal, but that doesn't apply to silver from Iran/Persia, because they never used the zolotnik system.
    Here is more info:

    IRAN (PERSIA)
First silver marks showing the maker's name and his city came into use in late 19th century.
Imitation of 84 Russian marks appeared c. 1890, possibly introduced by Armenian goldsmiths emigrated to Tabriz.
National marks with the "Armed Lion" in various shapes (fineness .840 and .900) were introduced in 1967.
The last shah was deposed in 1979 and Republican marks were intended to be introduced.
