    Does anyone have insight on this watercolor? Is it a Max?

    Looks like a Max or a Max-wannabe signature. As a courtesy, would you tell us more about the piece? In what country was it located? What you were told about it? Is there anything on the back?

    There appear to be many versions of this theme - Umbrella Man. Without seeing the whole picture, I couldn't tell which one.

    It is coming from Peru. I've not seen the back yet. The front matting has a Peter Max brass piece on it. I've seen some watercolors from him, but not this one. Thank you for the time.

    Seems there's an absolute treasure trove of Peter Max paintings coming out of Bellavista, Peru.

    And now the answer is clear! Felt a Max could in theory show up anywhere-ones that are authentic IMO show up all over my town for
    $800 up but have yet to find a Van Gogh LOL.
