Pettis glass plate

Hi all googled Pettis but couldn't find a similar plate it is a stencil with what looks like painted highlights any idea of aszge asst all and if it is Pettis std dinner plate size chris

 

Lovely plate Chris, I can see why you bought it, it has a Chinese silk painting look.

 

ANice looking but no idea. It does remind me of the fused slumped things that were popular 35 years ago in the USA.

 

I did only a cursory search, but if the info I found is correct, it seems that Pettis was only in business in the UK from 1972 to 1988:

Is it possible that the "artwork" was placed between 2 layers of glass before the glass was slumped/finished?

 

looks pretty good sb will check whether there a link between the aus company and the one in UK hadnt checked eBay yet to many forums going
