Pewter Deep Dish Plates

    Picked up some old pewter today. Couldn't pass it up for a buck. Sadly the markings are pretty much obliterated. Is there any other way to narrow down a date or to say they are American or European? I know next to nothing about pewter. Thanks for looking.
