Pewter Planter??

    Am I correct in assuming this footed double handled vessel is a planter? Roughly 12 inches tall. Can anyone offer assistance with the marks on the bottom? Thank you

    Might be an ice bucket unless there are holes in the side in which case yep a planter. Part of the text is "not for food use".:bag:

    Says, "Not For Food" on the bottom which implies fairly recent to me.

    I agree, INH. Color looks more like copper - which does require a tin lining to make copper cooking pots safe to use for food.
