Pewter wallplates

What are these? Can pewter be cleaned?

 

Need to see the whole marking. Pewter can be cleaned, there are those who prefer shiny, although I don't, so I don't have a recommendation on what to use or method.

 

As for "what are they" sure looks like a plate, but what is the diameter?

All righty. Took a couple tries to find the first letter of the name, but it's definitely and S for Savo Pewter. Google will give you lots of pictures and information is you use Savo Pewter Norway. Otherwise you'll end up with baby strollers.

At 8 inches across you have a very useful size for the table or buffet. I doubt its' wide enough for a charger under a service plate, and not as large as the usual "wall plate" - but you can do whatever you want with it!
