I have a small collection of these Pheasant serving plates/bowls that I inherited from my grandmother 12 or so years ago. It has the stamp M2 Altrohlau CMR Czechoslovakia on the back. I have tried finding this blue pattern online with No luck. Can anyone tell me if this is new or old? They have never been used. Just sat in a China cabinet for I don’t know how many years.

Is the Z in Czechoslovakia backwards?

The CMHR would be this guy: C.M. Hutschenreuther, so 1909 - 1945. It was already a big operation in the 19th century, so must be a lot of output. One of our super sleuths may find it for you.

it kind of looks like it in this picture. I checked others in the collection and they are facing the right way so I am guessing it was the way the stamp laid? ‍♀️

If it helps, I just found out that it was passed on to my Grandmother in 1963, so it is at least that old or older

I'm the cameo lady. The little I know about pottery I learned here. We have people who have deep learning & good reference books. Members live all over the globe, so lots of different time zones. Sometimes it takes a while to get the right eyes on a post. I was just giving you a welcome & a start. I'm going to be a bit bothered by that backward Z until it's demonstrated that's just how they did it.

Thank you! That backward looking Z threw me off too! On some
It looks backwards and others it looks normal. Not sure! The only thing I know is it was passed on to my Grandmother in 1963 so it is at least that old.

The CMHR means it can't be any later than 1945. Then it was nationalized & given a new name.
