I was clearing out junk at my lock-up today and found a thick wooden photo frame with a b/w photo of a girl receiving some sort of presentation certificate, it was dated 1959 on the back.

I wondered why the frame was so thick just for one anonymous photo.

I had to break it open to gain access and I found this frame and photo used as backing.

It is also anonymous but must be over 100 years old.

Think the board is box wood and could have come from anywhere.
There's blood stains on there too.

True-grit framer...nail a finger to the board, but still completed the job.

    Blood stains. Uh Oh!
I love old photos. The ladies look like they may be smiling while the gents are not so happy.

    Hi,
Looks like gathering Mistletoe for Christmas. My PC will NOT allow me to enlarge this for some reason.

the question is for me though why someone would want to hide this photo/frame in a different frame?
it sounds that it wasn’t due to reusing the frame?

If this is winter, why are there still leaves on the trees behind them?
