Photograph of a photograph? By listed photographer Allan Teger

I found this at a thrift store - it is a photograph of a hand colored photograph by Allan Teger. Looking him up he is a known photographer. I also saw photo/print of his.
Is this a photograph or a print?
Anyone ever heard of a photo of a photo?
It wasn't expensive ($5.95!) & when I saw his name a lot when I googled him (though most were for something called bodyscapes), I decided to take a chance to flip it.

He took a black & white photograph and then hand-painted it in color. That was an original work of art. He then made a color photograph of the piece so he could produce multiples, one of which you own. Yours is also a work of art but, as a multiple, it's value whould be nowhere near the value of the original. Here's a mini-bio and more information about his work. A number of his photographs have shown up on eBay but there doesn't appear to be much interest, even when the subject is erotic.
